  Oceanographic Winches are used to hold back and control tension on wire ropes, ROV cable, synthetic rope and wireline. They are often used to control tension for loading material onto a winch that cannot support the high line tensions on lower layers. Otherwise known as dual wheel capstans.

  The stainless steel diamond pattern drives screws used in Reel Power OG level wind assemblies are custom designed to fit the width of both the spool and the frame to which it will be mounted. The level wind carriage has rollers at the top, bottom, and each side of the cable to protect it and aid in the orderly winding of the umbilicals onto the reels. Some level wind assemblies are designed for a fixed position umbilical payout. Other assemblies have a variable angle of departure that can be adjusted in the field.
